A graduated friend of mine recently reiterated the oft-heard fact about students gaining weight like crazy post-college. Yeah, yeah, I thought, the beer, late-night pizza and horrible sleep schedules catch up with people after they graduate. It's bound to happen. Nope, they replied, what really happens is that everyone starts working 9-5 and having no energy left over to do anything.
huh. Well, that sounds familiar. I have been working what amounts to a full time job (with a very long commute thrown in for good measure) all summer and I can totally understand where my buddy is coming from. The only thing I want to do when I get home is cuddle up in a squidgy sweater and watch Criminal Minds with a big cup of tea (but God forbid I ever take my brother away form the Little League World Series! ohmygosh I can't). Luckily, we have workout Wednesdays at Her Campus and I have a pretty active family, but still. Tiredness results in not working out as much.
Which is not to say that exercise is the only thing that makes a healthy body. Obviously, eating right and generally taking care of yourself (like getting sleep... boy, have I been slacking there!) play a HUGE part in whether or not you look like the naked people on the box ^
so, why the healthy living 101? Because there is another part of the puzzle that I wasn't aware of before. Beyond chalky Flintstone or gummy fruit vitamins, I've never taken any sort of supplement to help with my health. At least not until recently.
Because, recently, these bad boys came into my life!
The key ingredient here s called Chlorenic acid, which inhibits the release of glucose while upping your metabolism. These two work together to inhibit the absorption of fat and help with weight loss (working with the other factors of a healthy lifestyle, of course).
I loved the way my body felt while I had this bottle! They legitimately attacked my mid-section trouble area, melting my hips and making my stomach feel flatter and less bloated.
I'm not sure if it's just because I associate coffee with wakefulness, but I also felt much more energized during the time this bottle lasted. As a result of this boost, I was more likely to work out after getting home, which led to more positive changes and more energy- nice cycle there, huh?! Unfortunately, you're supposed to take 2 pills twice daily, so the bottle didn't last as long as I wished it would!
Since the bottle ended, I have noticed the difference. While it was a positive difference when I began taking the supplement, I am much more aware of my lethargy and subtle weight gain now that I've stopped. Bummer!
BUT! Maybe not! The company offers a free bottle of the supplement of your choice with a 5 star rating on Amazon (talk about customer retention!). My fingers are crossed that this counts for bloggers as well!
What do you think? Have you ever tried any supplements? Would you ever add Green Coffee Bean Extract to your diet?
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
