edible clouds

I am a big fan of breakfast foods at pretty much any time so, when dinner rolled around and we weren't having a family meal, I thought it would be a good time to try a recipe that I've practically drooled over on pinterest: honey cloud pancakes.

They are completely delicious and relatively easy to make! Enjoy and do try!

Honey Cloud Pancakes
1 full egg
1 egg white
1/4 of a cup of warmed milk
1/4 of a cup of flour
2 teaspoons of honey
a dash of vanilla
1 tablespoon of butter
fruit of your choice
extra honey to drizzle on top

1. Turn your oven up to 350 F.

2. Crack your whole egg into your mixing pan. Add the flour, honey, and vanilla.

3. Warm the milk on your stove top in an oven proof pan.

4. Stir the milk in with the batter.

5. Whisk/beat the egg white until peaky.

6. Fold the egg white into the batter.
(yours might end up fluffier than mine, folding has never been my specialty!)

7. Pour batter into the buttered frying pan

8. Add any fruit on hand! I really wish that I'd had strawberries or raspberries, but it was delicious with peaches and blueberries!

9. Cook the cloud on the stovetop until the edges are baked before transferring it to the oven until puffy and golden.

10. Transfer to plate and enjoy!!!

Drizzle with honey for a little extra sweetness!

Aaaaand, some close-ups!

Unbelievably good! This recipe is kind of big, though. The original recipe claims this is a single serving, but I ended up eating half for dinner an the other half for breakfast.

If you want a smaller pancake-y recipe, I have another option here!
