After our snack stop, my mom and I drove to my aunt's to enjoy the sun and sand! 

There was some floating,

some flipping,

some fighting,

(followed by some falling)

then some fun paddling (stretching the f here, aren't I?),

and finally some football flinging! 

(Mom and I played too! We're not joining any football leagues- fantasy or otherwise- but managed to get a couple of good throws in!)

I'm kind of surprised that my brother was nicely smiling in these pictures. He usually can't help himself, leading to some hilarious christmas card outtakes! 

I think my dad is a pirate and my cousin is a shark? 

Don't question it.

Don't get me wrong, I love lazy beach days with family... but they become even more fun when friends show up spontaneously! Kate and Jess were my wonderful ski team buddies in high school, an we developed a crazy bond during those early mornings and endless chair lift rides. As cheesy as it is, whenever we catch up it feels like we were never apart.
